DEHRADUN
Also known as the ‘Adobe of Drona’, Dehradun has always been an important center for Garhwal rulers which was captured by the British. ROBBER
The cave is a narrow gorge formed between a conglomerate limestone formation. It creates a feeling similar to being in a scene from a mystery movie – surrounded by dark limestone as streams gush in, echoing inside the cave. If not this, it definitely promises a sense of belongingness as Mother Nature slows you down, making you resonate with its mesmerising beauty.
TAPKESHWAR TEMPLE
Tapkeshwar is a famous cave temple on the banks of a rivulet. The water further flows in to the cave to drip on to the Shiv Linga inside. Sulphur springs present around the temple makes for a therapeutic bath. This cave was once the abode of the famous guru Dronacharya and hence is also known as Drona cave.
MINDROLLING MONASTERY
The Mindrolling Monastery, also known as the Buddha Temple Complex, is the largest Buddhist Vihara of India, training monks for over 300 years. Being an architectural masterpiece with several sections, the monastery is a visual wonder. It also houses the tallest Stupa in Asia.
FOREST RESEARCH INSTITUTE
Established in the year 1906, the Forest Research Institute is a premier institution in the field of forestry research in India. Nestled in the serene backdrop of the Doon Valley, Forest Research Institute is also a significant tourist attraction of Dehradun. The Institute has been used to film various Bollywood films.
DEHRADUN ZOO
Located at the base of the Shivalik range, Dehradun Zoo, formerly known as Malsi Deer Park, is a zoological garden. It is home to two horned Deer, tigers, Neelgai, Peacock and many other animals. This well maintained zoological garden is an ideal place for a picnic.
PACIFIC MALL
The biggest and most popular shopping mall in Dehradun, Pacific Mall is known for shopping and for entertainment. It features hundreds of brands, several food joints and entertainment options which means it is a great place for individual and group shoppers.
CLOCK TOWER
Clock tower, also known as “ghanta ghar” is a very famous tourist attraction. It was a renowned landmark of the city and was built by the British before India got its independence. The clock does not tick at present, but it is said that years ago when it was built, the peak of it was such that a person on the other end of the city could hear it as well.
SAHASTRADHARA ROPEWAY
Sahastradhara, which literally translates to “Thousand fold spring,” is an extremely popular tourist destination in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The region is famous for its unmatched natural beauty which can be admired via the the Sahastradhara Ropeway. Featuring a ride which is over an hour long, the ropeway takes you to the top of the mountain to the Sahastradhara Heights Top Station in colourful cable cars which overlook the magnificent valleys.
FUN VALLEY
Located within Uttarakhand’s Golden Triangle – Dehradun, Haridwar and Rishikesh, Fun Valley is an amusement park cum resort. The largest amusement and water park in North India, it is equidistant from the 3 towns. It has a water park, go-karting and shopping complexes.
SHIKHAR FALLS
Shikhar Falls is a waterfall picnic spot located around 13km from Dehradun in Kairwaan village of Raipur. Reaching the waterfall requires a 1 km hike on the rugged terrains.
HAR KI DHUN

LAL TIBBA
Perched on the Depot Hill in Landour, Lal Tibba is one of the highest viewpoints in Mussoorie. Just 6 km from the city centre, this vantage point rests at an altitude of 2,275 metres so you can only imagine the views from up here. The name of the viewpoint literally translates to Red Hill, which is a direct reference to the colour of the sky visible from here during the sunrise and sunset. It is among the must visit places to see in Mussoorie.

GUN HILL POINT
one of the most popular viewpoints in the area. Located at a distance of 1.7 km from Mall Road, this viewpoint can be reached by a 20-minute uphill trek. Apart from a 360-degree view of the town and other parts of the Doon Valley, you will also be able to take in the views of Bunderpunch, Srikantha, Gangotri, and Pithwara Himalayan ranges from here. It is among the most tourist places to visit in Mussoorie Uttarakhand.

COMPANY GARDEN
At a distance of around 3 km from the Mall Road, the Company Garden in Mussoorie makes for a perfect spot to spend quality time with your family and friends. The entire plan of this garden was laid down by Dr. H Fackner and it is maintained by the Garden Welfare Association of Mussoorie.
CLOUDS END
If solitude is what you are looking for on your next trip to Mussoorie, Cloud’s End is where you should be at. A scenic stretch of lush deodar and oak forests, this place is located 6 km from the Library Road and marks the geographical end of the hill town. You can reach Cloud’s End by trekking along the Hathipaon Road from the Happy Valley area.
JHARIPANI
Situated in the quaint village of Jharipani, about 7 km from the city centre of Mussoorie, is the stunning Jharipani Falls. Its charm lies in its secluded location that is not marred by touristy crowds yet and it has a view for perfect Mussoorie photos.
CAMEL BACK ROAD
Camel’s Back Road, another Mussoorie tourist place,is a great attraction to visit if you enjoy walking amidst nature and enjoying the views and the pleasant climate. This 3 km stretch road is named so because it resembles the hump of a camel and is best visited in the mornings and evenings.
LAKE MIST
One of the scenic Mussoorie places to visit is the Lake Mist. The lake has a boating point from where you can hire a boat at an affordable fee. The place is located on the way to Kempty Falls and is usually crowded during the weekends.
BHATTA FALLS
This serene picnic spot is complete with waterfalls and a small freshwater pond to waddle about. You can take the ropeway from the Bhatta Village to the Falls. Do carry your own food and beverages, as there is no provision up there. However, make sure not to litter this natural paradise.
JAWALA DEVI TEMPLE
Dedicated to Goddess Durga, the Jwala Devi Temple is situated on top of the Benog Hill. You have to trek for about 2 km from the Clouds End tourist spot to reach the temple. The temple is small and ancient and the view from the hill is astounding.
RISHIKESH
Rishikesh has numerous ashrams, some of which are internationally recognised as centres of philosophical studies, yoga and other ancient Indian traditions of wellness. The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board organises the annual International Yog Festival (IYF) here, which attracts thousands of yoga enthusiasts.

TRIVENTI GHAT
It is one of the most famous ghats and places to visit in Rishikesh and makes for a beautiful destination to watch the evening Ganga Aarti. The sanctity of the Ghat comes from the legend that it sees the confluence of three major rivers – Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati.
RAM JHULA
A few miles downstream from Laxman Jhula is the Ram Jhula in Rishikesh. Almost similar in its structure and construction, this suspension bridge was built in 1980, a little later than Laxman Jhula. It is one of the must-visit places to visit in Rishikesh for its scenic views.
LAXMAN JHULA
One of the most prominent places to visit in Rishikesh, Laxman Jhula is a 450-foot long suspension bridge at a height of 70 feet from the river. Built in the year 1939, the bridge is an important attraction as it is believed that it is the same place where Lord Laxman crossed the Ganga River on a jute rope.
NEELKANTH MAHADEV TEMPLE
Located around 30 km from Rishikesh, this holy temple is considered one of the most important pilgrimage places to visit in Rishikesh for all the devotees of Lord Shiva. According to Hindu mythology, it is believed that the temple was built at the same spot where Lord Shiva drank the venom ‘Halahala’ that was extracted after churning the ocean to obtain the elixir of life

HAR KI PAURI
Regarded as one of the most sacred Ghats in Haridwar and India, Har Ki Pauri is a revered landmark and is visited by devotees and visitors in large numbers seeking the blessings of the Holy Ganga by offering their prayers. A dip in the river Ganges here is believed to wash away one’s sins.
CHANDU DEVI TEMPLE
Devoted to Lord Durga’s form Chandi, this ancient hill-top temple is famous for its wish fulfilling belief. You can reach the temple using Udan Khatola aka the ropeway or trek 45 minutes up the steep stairway.
MANSA DEVI TEMPLE
The Mansa Devi Temple is a famous temple in Haridwar in Uttarakhand that is dedicated to the goddess Mansa Devi, who is considered to be a form of Shakti and is believed to have emerged from Lord Shiva’s mind. It is one of the ‘Panch Tirths’ or the five pilgrimages in Haridwar. The ropeways that lead up to it is also a popular attraction.
RAJAJI NATIONAL PARK

BHARAT MATA MANDIR
The Bharat Mata Mandir in Haridwar is dedicated to India as a country. The temple has a massive map of Mother India on the ground, denoting the statue of the mother of India depicted as a four-armed Hindu goddess wearing saffron-coloured robes, holding a book, sheaves of rice, a mala, and a white cloth.
DAKSHA TEMPLE
A famous temple in Kankhal, Haridwar Daksha Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is named after King Daksha Prajapati, the father of Goddess Sati. Also known as Daksheswara Mahadev Temple, it houses the Yajna Kund and the Daksha ghat on the left of the main temple where devotees take a dip in the holy Ganga River.
SAPTRISHI ASHRAM
Famous for having hosted 7 great sages- Kashyapa, Vashishta, Atri, Vishwamitra, Jamadagi, Bharadwaja and Gautam, this ashram is well known for its tranquil atmosphere ideal for meditation. It is also believed that Ganga split herself into seven currents at this spot.
